All-New Pressure Filtration Systems for Water Treatment
Schroeder Industries introduces a new series of pressure filters engineered for industrial and municipal water treatment.
Depending on the application, water treatment can face various challenges and require specific filtration characteristics to extract dissolved minerals or other undesirable contents. Applications like wastewater treatment, ultra-pure water applications, potable and municipal water, and others require different strategies and demand certain qualities.
Our filters make adapting to specific applications simple, and offer uniformly high performance:

Flexible Media Selection
Depending on the goals of a water treatment system, different types of media can be used to target specific contaminants, dissolved minerals, water hardness, and other qualities. Schroeder’s filtration systems offer 4 primary media types:
Silica Sand Filtration
Silica sand filtration excels in the removal of solids from highly contaminated water sources including wastewater, cooling water, and other industrial and municipal intake streams.
This type of filtration is commonly used in conjunction with more specialized media, as it reduces the load of solid particulates upstream.

Activated Carbon Filtration
Anyone who has used water filtration pitchers is likely familiar with activated carbon.
Activated carbon excels in markets like food & beverage and municipal water treatment due to its ability to improve bad tastes and smells, as well as eliminate organic compounds, pesticides, and other volatile organic chemicals (VOCs).

Greensand Filtration
Greensand is sand-like media that contains high levels of the mineral glauconite, which gives it a signature greenish color.
This media is especially effective in removing iron and manganese from water, which prevents staining and damaging mineral buildup. It also targets hydrogen sulfide, a foul-smelling compound known to tarnish and corrode pipes and plumbing components.

Ion Exchange Filtration
Ion exchange filtration primarily provides water softening and conductivity reduction.
Softening water reduces limescale and other mineral buildup, and reduces corrosive qualities in the water.
Lowering conductivity in process water is especially important for applications requiring ultra-pure water, such as electronics manufacturing and medical applications.
