Bag housings and Elements are a part of a complete process filtration system.
Schroeder Process Filtration offers a complete line of bag elements and housings to fit a wide variety of applications. This ranges from single bag filter housings to high flow multiple bag housings.
Bag and cartridge filters can be used in almost all types of removal of suspended solids in a process stream. These solids can range from metal, sand, rubber all the way to bacteria. Particulate matter can be a danger to any and all equipment without the proper filtration.
Micron technology is prevalent in many of Schroeder Industries equipment and product lines.
Fine and Coarse Filtration
Our bag and filter housings offer users an easy way to achieve fine filtration.
These products are able to filter fluids as low as 0.2 micron.
0.2 micron is comparable to corn starch, to put that into perspective.
A sizing that small is important for sterilization, as it filters out even the smallest of bacteria.
Along with fine filtration, our multi-bag housings are suitable for fine and coarse filtration.
Bag filtration and cartridge filtration are used for industrial purposes and in water treatment.
Industrial uses include process fluid filtering and solids recovery.
In water treatment, they can remove turbidity, algae and Giardia cyst and Crypto cyst removal.
Our housings and elements offer an economical filtration solution.
They are manufactured from polypropylene, polyester, nylon and other low cost durable materials. The elements are disposable and easily changed. Element changeouts are cost effective and support Schroeder’s 2030 Initiative.

Process Fluid Filtering:
Process fluid filtering is the purification of a fluid by the removal of unwanted solid material.
Process fluids include fluids used to cool or lubricate equipment.
In mechanical equipment, or during the processing of a fluid, particulate material can accumulate.
In order to maintain the purity of the fluid, the particles must be removed.
The oil filter in your vehicle is a good example of a cartridge filter.
It is being used to maintain the quality of a process fluid.
Solids Removal/Recovery:
Another industrial application is in solids recovery.
Solids recovery is done to either recover desirable solids from a fluid or to “purify” the fluid. This is prior to subsequent treatment, use, or discharge.
For instance, some mining operations will use water to convey the minerals being mined from site to site. After the slurry arrives at its desired location, it is filtered to remove the desired product from the carrier water.
