WORKING HOURS: Varies
REPORTS TO: Manager of Distribution Sales
It is the responsibility of the
Regional Sales Manager to promote the sales of all Fluid Power Products in a defined territory.
The RSM has the responsibility for full development of distributor potential including sales,
inventories, and meeting sales objectives. The RSM is assigned with managing established customer
accounts, developing new business, and interacting with other departments including marketing and
engineering to meet sales goals.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Use of sales calls, training, and technical support to facilitate sales of SI products.
Develop direct sales and utilize the distributor organization to establish new business with OEM accounts to be taken through distribution or handled by Schroeder on a direct basis.
Provide feedback from the defined territory on
potential new Fluid Power products, new market potential, effectiveness of
present distributors and the effectiveness of sales programs. Recommend improvements
and/or changes to existing products to increase marketability of those products.
Prepare and present quotes to distributors and/or customers
relating to filtration, diagnostic, oil service or process requirements in relation
to current requirements.
Obtain and communicate competitive data, including but
not limited to, application description, circuit diagram, flow conditions, pressures,
and pricing information.
Analyze the effectiveness of distributors within
the territory, recommending and implementing the appointment or termination
of distributors, as well as taking accounts direct if necessary.
Identify markets and key prospects for SI products,
motivating distributors’ management and individual sales persons to sell Schroeder
Fluid Power Products.
Develop distributor sales objectives and forecasts annually, performing ongoing analysis throughout the year.
Develop and accomplish quarterly and yearly individual objectives.
Use CRM system to manage appointments, opportunities, activities and other pertinent functions.
Train distributors in all aspects of filtration and the fluid power industry.
Responsible for hydraulic system analysis and the development of troubleshooting processes in the field.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Sales, Finance or Manufacturing is required.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in required.
Experience in the fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Knowledge of CRM software experience is a plus.
Two + years’ experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
A valid driver's license is required.
